We rely primarily on contributions for support in building community through music. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and are governed by an active board of directors. Your tax-deductible donation enables us to purchase music, commission new works, and make the choir accessible to women of all income levels.
Here are some examples of what your donations enable us to do.
|$35||Sponsors 2 sliding-scale concert tickets|
|$100||Rents one night of rehearsal space|
|$250||Provides ASL interpretation for one concert|
|$1200||Sponsors one singer for one full season|
|$1500||Commissions a new arrangement of an existing song|
|$3000||Commissions a brand new song|
We are grateful for any and all contributions. While unrestricted gifts provide us with the most flexibility, you may direct your contribution to a designated fund.
Renee Robbins Memorial Fund
Through this fund, the Twin Cities Women’s Choir commissions new works by women and girls to further our mission of singing, performing and affirming the voices of women. Renee Robbins, a member of the choir since 1997, shared her intense love of music and her deep joy of life with us. Renee passed away in 2001.
Sue Fern Memorial Fund
The Sue Fern Memorial Fund has been established in honor and memory of Sue Ann Fern, one of the Founding Mothers of our choir. The fund was established to purchase sheet music. This fund also enables women who can’t contribute financially to join the choir. Sue passed away in 2006.
Mary Bussman Emerging Female Composer Fund
TCWC sponsors an annual choral competition for an emerging female composer in continuation of our mission to affirm the voices of women. Mary Bussman was our founding Artistic Director and currently holds the title of Artistic Director Emerita.
